BE Club Brings 160 Qualifying Team Leaders to Rio for its 2026 Leadership Retreat

BE (BE Club) brought 160 qualifying independent affiliate Team Leaders from around the world to Rio de Janeiro from 28 to 31 July for its second global leadership retreat of 2026.

The choice of Brazil comes against the backdrop of a sizeable direct-selling industry. The country leads the sector in Latin America and ranks seventh globally, with approximately R$50 billion in industry sales recorded in 2024, according to the Brazilian Direct Selling Association (ABEVD).

Against the background of Copacabana, the four-day programme combined leadership development and recognition with experiences that made the destination part of the reward itself. Leadership mastermind sessions were balanced with experiences across Rio’s iconic landscapes and cultural landmarks, bringing together learning, connection and celebration.

Rio offered something beyond a traditional company event: dedicated time away from the day-to-day to exchange ideas, build stronger relationships and experience the destination alongside fellow leaders from across BE’s international community.

A setting designed to inspire

Beyond the breathtaking surroundings, the retreat represented something even more meaningful: a chance for leaders from different corners of the world to come together — transforming online relationships into meaningful connections and lasting memories.

Speaking on the decision to host the retreat in Rio de Janeiro, CEO and Co-founder Moyn Islam said: “South America has always been a region full of energy and potential, and Rio de Janeiro captures that spirit perfectly. We wanted to bring our community together in an environment that naturally inspires movement and forward momentum, as they continue to learn, experience, and evolve.”

The venue was Hilton Copacabana, a renowned five-star beachfront hotel located along the shores of Copacabana and Leme Beach. Rising as a landmark 39-storey skyscraper, the hotel is nestled within serene, tree-lined surroundings and offers panoramic views of Sugarloaf Mountain. Combining contemporary elegance with exceptional hospitality, the hotel provided a sophisticated home base for leaders throughout their experience.

Intentional moments of connection and impact

During their stay, leaders were treated to a curated itinerary of immersive experiences, designed to foster connection and growth.

The retreat began with a welcome celebration overlooking the Copacabana beachfront, where guests enjoyed an unforgettable evening featuring live samba performances and DJ entertainment, setting a lively tone for the days ahead.

Attendees also participated in Leadership Mastermind sessions focused on growth, collaboration and personal development, providing intentional opportunities to exchange insights, share experiences and learn from one another.

Outside the meeting room, the programme featured a Beach Olympics team-building experience, where leaders competed in activities including volleyball, football, frescobol and tug of war — fostering teamwork, camaraderie and organic connection.

The retreat also gave participants the chance to explore the beauty and culture of Rio de Janeiro through a guided Jeep tour, including visits to two of the city’s most iconic landmarks: Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf Mountain.

Lastly, the retreat was concluded with a farewell celebration at Assador Rio’s Steakhouse, where leaders gathered to enjoy authentic Brazilian cuisine alongside live saxophone and violin performances, creating a fitting finale to a retreat defined by connection, celebration and shared experiences.

A strengthening global footprint

The Rio de Janeiro retreat marks another important chapter in BE Club’s 2026 global retreat calendar, reinforcing the organisation’s commitment to celebrating leadership, nurturing connections and supporting the continued growth of its international community.
